Imelda Schweighart, the Miss Philippines Earth 2016 titleholder is currently making rounds online after she declares hate against Koreans particularly K-pop.
Recently, the 22-year-old beauty queen took to the social-networking site, Facebook wherein she claimed that “Filipinos are losing their identity trying to be koreans” and “Di hamak na mas magaling namang mag-English mga Pinoy kesa Korean.”
Her hate post immediately spread like a wildfire garnering reactions and mean comments from the netizens.
Her Facebook account has been deactivated most probably after receiving backlash from netizens.
But who is Imelda Schweighart?
Imelda is a German-Filipino model, singer-songwriter, composer, actress beauty queen who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2016.
At the time, she was involved in a controversy with Miss Ecuador Katherine Espín which prompted her to return her crown.
She claimed that Espin, who was eventually crowned as Miss Earth 2016, stole a gown made for her.
While talking to fans, she was caught on video insulting Espin for her alleged plastic surgery.
After the incident, she has laid low.
But the following year, she made headlines anew after revealing that she has given birth to her son Noach, who was born via water birth on July 21, 2017.
When asked why she kept her pregnancy a secret, she said: “Itinago ko pagbubuntis ko para di ka mapagkaisahan ng mga taong walang awa.”
She is also not new in the limelight.
In fact, she was one of the co-hosts of Willie Revilla from 2010 to 2011 in his then variety show, Willing Willie.
She was also one of the lead casts of the youth-oriented drama series Bagets: Just Got Lucky which aired on TV5.
