Official Video of the ABS-CBN Christmas Song “Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya”
ABS-CBN – The Kapamilya network officially released a video of its new Christmas song, Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya.
The Philippines has one of the longest celebrations of the Christmas season. In fact, many people excitingly await the start of the-ber months.
Upon the start of September, Christmas songs can already be heard in public places most especially in shopping malls. Many Filipinos also start planning out the gifts to give their loved ones and the foods to prepare for the family.
Another most-awaited thing every holiday season are the new Christmas song that bring delight to the heart. Recently, ABS-CBN Network released a new song entitled, Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya”.
Based on a report on its media, Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya was written by Robert Labayen and Love Rose de Leon. Thyro Alfaro did the music and the song was sang by 20 Kapamilya stars.
According to ABS-CBN, Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya “highlights the love we share to our fellowmen and our gratitude to God, the primary source of light and joy of every family”. The network released the new song and its video amid its situation now after it was officially shut down last July.
The Kapamilya network’s franchise came to its expiry and the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) released a Cease and Desist Order against it. It immediately went off-air upon the release of the order.
In a bid for a fresh 25-year franchise, the Kapamilya network lost as 70 lawmakers voted to deny it of a new franchise to operate while only 11 stood by its side.

The Ikaw ang Liwanag at Ligaya video released by the network is different from its official Christmas Station ID 2020 which will debut on December 1. Here’s the video posted on YouTube:
