Here’s what Vilma Santos shared about depression
Star For All Season Vilma Santos revealed that there was a point in her life that she also went through depression.
Several celebrities in the Philippines have already opened about the depression and anxiety they felt in certain points in their lives. Despite that down moment in their lives, they shared inspiring stories about how they will able to overcome that dark past.
One of those celebrities who had the same experience is Ate Vi. Based on the article from Pang-Masa, the veteran actress who is also a congresswoman shared that she also had depression.
However, she realized that she can’t run away from the problem and that she needed to face it. At that time, she talked to Mother Lily Monteverde and Boss Vic del Rosario regarding her showbiz projects.
Ate Vi revealed that she was no longer handling her earnings from her movies because the money went directly to BIR. Her daily expenses came from her earnings from her TV shows.
Then, one day, the award-winning actress got surprised when she received a check from Regal Films. That was the time when she realized that her problem was already solved.
“Nabayaran na ang utang ko. Simula noon natuto na ako. Ako na ang humahawak ng pera ko. May record ang lahat ng gastos. Mas naging maayos lahat,” the veteran actress said.
Vilma Santos also said that depression really happens but it can be handled.
