Jason Gainza cried when he talked about his former co-stars
Comedian Jason Gainza got emotional when he was asked about his former Banana Sundae co-stars Angelica Panganiban and John Prats.
For several years, Jason, Angelica, and John have been together in the Kapamilya gag show since it was titled Banana Split. However, the program format as well as director Bobot Mortiz will do the show on TV5 as a blocktimer under the Brightlight Productions.
The cast members of the gag show also joined the transfer to the Kapatid network, except to the two pioneers, Angelica Panganiban and John Prats.
Based on the article from Abante, during the media conference for TV5’s new gag show Sunday Kada, Jason Gainza got emotional when the question was raised about Angelica and John not being with them.
The comedian said that they really wanted that the cast members of Banana Sundae will be completed but he likened this to the song with the line “pinagtagpo pero di tinadhana”.

“Malungkot din sila dahil gusto nga nila, buo pa rin kami. Pero masaya rin sila dahil meron na kaming bagong trabaho at bilang kami at mga staff din, yung trabahing yun, imagin niyo, ilang months kami na walang trabaho. Six or seven months,” Jason shared.
He also thanked the people behind the work that was given to them. Jason Gainza said that they are thankful to Direk Bobot as well as to former congressman Albee Benitez, who is the man behind Brightlight Productions, that this kind of opportunity was made available for them.
