The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 1,803 newly-reported coronavirus cases in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. of October 31, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines as of today.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #231 dated October 31, 2020, the Department of Health reported 1,803 newly-reported COVID-19 cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 380,729.
Also, the Department of Health reported 42,462 total active cases wherein 83.2% were mild cases, 11.3% were asymptomatic cases, 3.5% were critical cases, and 1.9% were severe cases.

Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of October 31 only: Rizal with 97 new cases, Davao City with 93 new cases, Quezon City with 86 new cases, Cavite with 66 new cases, and City of Pasig with 65 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 606 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 331,046. Also, the Department of Health recorded 36 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 7,221.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health reminded the public to be cautious against getting leptospirosis from vegetation, flood waters, or moist soil that had been contaminated with the urine of infected animals amidst the rainy season.
