Manny Pacquiao’s Camp Confirms Fight w/ Conor McGregor Next Year
The camp of Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao confirmed that he will fight the Irish mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor next year.
Pacman’s special assistant Jayke Joson confirmed in a statement that the Pinoy boxer turned Senator will fight Conor McGregor next year in the Middle East. The large part of the prize would go to COVID-19 victims.
“For the sake of all the Filipino Covid-19 victims, Senator Manny Pacquiao will be fighting UFC superstar Conor McGregor next year, the huge portion of his earnings will proceed to those who are affected nationwide by the pandemic,” Joson said.
Earlier, the 32-year-old Conor McGregor also announced his upcoming fight with the 41-year-old Pinoy boxing superstar.
However, Joson explained that their lawyers are still finalizing the confidential details regarding the possible boxing match despite McGregor’s announcement. Both fighters are now getting ready for the fight.
Pacquiao’s special aide said that the Filipino lawmaker wants to focus on helping the victims of the coronavirus pandemic and doesn’t want to talk about boxing yet. Manny said that he wants first to provide food, shelter, and cash to the poor Filipinos.
“It is confirmed the negotiation between the camp of Senator Pacquiao and McGregor is now starting to move on. Again as what our senator says, all his fights are dedicated for the welfare and unity of all Filipinos including this one,” Joson added.
