On Sunday, September 13, Karen Davila’s son David had a “full-blown seizure” after they returned from an overnight trip to Sorsogon.

Sarah and Matteo, who are Karen’s neighbors in a condominium building in Makati City rushed to help them when the medical emergency happened.

According to Karen Davila, although it is common for children with autism like David to have a seizure, her child “never really had them.”

Based on healthline.com, a seizure occurs when there is a change in electrical activity in the brain.

During a seizure, the patient experiences muscle stiffness, lack of control over body movements, and loss of consciousness.

Many medical conditions cause seizures such as autism.

According to the international autism advocacy organization Autism Speaks, health experts have identified that “some of the brain abnormalities that are associated with autism may contribute to seizures.”

Meanwhile, the broadcaster also praised the “first responders” in the condo for being “fast thinkers, equipped to assist & knew what to do” to save David.

In the comment section, Karen told a certain Jacques that Matteo and Sarah were in the lobby of the condo when David had a seizure.

According to PEP.ph, she later thanked Matteo Guidicelli but did not elaborate on how Matteo helped David.
