DOH Records 19,630 Newly-Reported Coronavirus Recoveries In PH

The DOH had recorded 19,630 newly-reported coronavirus recoveries as of 4:00 p.m. today.

The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 19,630 newly-reported coronavirus recoveries in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. today, September 27, 2020.

This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.

According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #197 dated September 27, 2020, the Department of Health reported 2,995 newly-reported COVID-19 cases, wherein 2,694 out of 2,995 were recorded as “fresh” cases — reported cases occurred within the recent 14 days.

This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 304,226.

Since September 11, the Department of Health didn’t report the number of operational laboratories who successfully submitted their data to the COVID-19 Data Repository System as well as the total number of operational laboratories. However, the Department of Health on Sunday reported that six operational laboratories failed to submit their data to the CDRS.

The Department of Health also reported 46,372 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #197 dated September 27, 2020.

Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of September 27 only: Metro Manila with 1,065 new cases, Cavite with 297 new cases, Bulacan with 180 new cases, Batangas with 157 new cases, and Laguna with 143 new cases.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 19,630 newly-reported recoveries wherein 738 were routine reports and 18,892 were recorded as time-based recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries to 252,510.

Also, the Department of Health recorded 60 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 5,344.
