US President Donald Trump would act on banning TikTok in the United States
TRUMP TIKTOK – US President Donald Trump on Friday (US time) said that he will ban TikTok in the United States.
This, as Tiktok was considered as the fast-growing social media app worldwide, and American authorities had raised concerns about the service which could be a “tool” for Chinese intelligence.
AFP News reported that lawmakers and officials in the United States had voiced fears of a “wildly-popular” video platform that was being used by Beijing for atrocious purposes, yet the company had denied any links to the government of China.
Although media reports had circulated earlier Friday (US time) saying that US President Donald Trump will require the operations of the app in the United States to be relieved from ByteDance, yet Trump announced a ban on TikTok.

US President Donald Trump spoke to reporters on Air Force One that the US government will be banning them from the country as far as TikTok was concerned. Trump also said that he would take an action using an “emergency economic power” or an “executive order” as soon as Saturday (US time).
Trump’s action came following a review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which investigated deals affecting the national security of the country.
