Veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez shared that she’s financially independent.
“Hindi ako humihingi ng pera sa asawa ko,” she said.
“You should have your own money. Buy your own poison. Fund your own lifestyle,” she added.
This was among the revelations she shared in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph.
During her interview, she also revealed that she was once courted by a famous Telenovela actor before she got married to Mar Roxas.
The 55-year-old broadcaster shared that she dated Fernando Carrillo, the Venezuelan actor who was Thalia’s partner in the soap opera, Rosalinda.
“We dated pero walang nangyari. Not even a kiss. Nothing. Natakot ako,” she said.
“Fernando is such a darling but you have to be ready for him. Super gwapo, super sweet, pero I really ran away from him. And he remembers that,” she added.

Korina Sanchez turned 56 last October while Mar Roxas turned 63 last May. They have twins named Pepe and Pilar whom they conceived via surrogate.
She noted that she might be having another baby before she becomes a senior (60).
