This, as hackers — through its massive hack — on Wednesday (US time) were trying to deceive Twitter users into sending cryptocurrency bitcoin.
In a report on AFP News, the list of Twitter accounts that were being hacked by hackers rapidly increased to include Barack Obama, Uber, Joe Biden, bitcoin specialty firms, and a lot more.
Jack Dorsey, the Chief Executive Officer at Twitter, said in his tweet that it was a “tough day” for them as they all felt terrible this happened.
Dorsey also said that Twitter was diagnosing and would share everything they can when they had a “more complete understanding” about the incident.
The Biden campaign told AFP News that Twitter then temporarily locked down the hacked account and quickly removed the bogus tweet.

Following the said incident, Twitter then disabled the ability to tweet from validated Twitter accounts — those accounts with blue checkmarks — for more or less two hours while fixing the said issue.
Meanwhile, AFP News reported that the official Twitter account of US President Donald Trump wasn’t included in the massive hack.
