Maja Salvador on ABS-CBN: “Huwag po tayong sumuko”

Kapamilya star Maja Salvador went to social media wherein she penned a prayer for her home network, ABS-CBN amid its franchise renewal woes.

On July 7, the 31-year-old actress-dancer-host took to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein she published a prayer hoping for the congress to grant the Kapamilya Network a new franchise.

“Dasal ko po na sana mabigyan ng panibagong prangkisa ang aming pangalawang tahanan. Dasal ko din na patibayin niyo po at mas bigyan ng lakas ang aking mga Kapamilya at Kaibigan sa industriya. Hindi po madali ang pinagdadaanan nating lahat, huwag po tayong sumuko, Kapamilya,” she wrote.

“Hindi man po perpekto pero marami din pong naidulot na maganda sa mga Pilipino na tulad ko,” she stressed.

Maja Salvador addressed her message to the congressmen who are questioning the issues thrown at ABS-CBN in the past hearings.

ABS-CBN is being questioned in the congress for the following alleged issues which include citizenship of network owner Gabby Lopez III, labor practices, alleged improper tax payments, use of Philippine Depositary Receipts (PDRs), and about digital operations of the network using AMCARA Broadcasting Network franchise even though it is illegal.

It was on May 4 when the ABS-CBN franchise expired.

On May 5, the operation of network TV and radio stations nationwide was suspended due to a cease and desist order by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
