Harry Roque went swimming with dolphins
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque issued a statement regarding photos of him while swimming with dolphins in a resort in Subic, Zambales amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, photos of Harry Roque surfaced online while swimming with dolphins.
The pictures that were posted on the social networking site, Facebook via Ocean Adventure already gained the netizens’ ire before they were taken down.
But FB page PULPOLitika was able to secure a photo of Roque’s escapade.
In an interview with ABS-CBN‘s Teleradyo, he said that he was on his way to Mariveles in Bataan where he had agricultural businesses when he stopped by the resort in Subic.
“I was trying to wrap up po ‘yung mga negosyo ko noong wala pa ako sa gobyerno. Hindi ko naman po magawa nung sarado po ang Bataan,” Roque said.

According to him, he was the lone visitor of the resort since it’s the first day of the town where the resort is located to be placed under the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
“Wala pong nalabag pero kung meron pong na-offend, paumanhin po. ‘Di po natin intensyon na tayo’y may ma-offend po,” Harry Roque stressed.
“I can assure po dahil paulit-ulit naman nating sinasabi ang rules pero paumahin pa rin po kung hindi nagustuhan ang mga larawan,” he added.
Meanwhile, Harry Roque was heavily criticized for his earlier remark amid beating the UP prediction on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases.
