Elderly Grandma Donates 80 Percent of Her Pension To Feed Others
An elderly grandma donates nearly all of her monthly pension to help other less-fortunate people who badly needs help amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A Facebook user named Ravi Chandran has shared the heart touching story of an elderly grandma who donated nearly all of her monthly pension just to help others. The woman earns praises from the netizens.
Chandran said that a 70-year-old senior citizen identified as Kamalamma entered their building. They are busy making Annadaana preparations during that time because they were members of Rotary Heritage Mysuru.
The group initially assumed that the woman might ask for foods, so they give her food packets but the old lady refused to accept it. They were shocked after the woman told them that she will donate Rs 500 or $6.60 out of her Rs 600 monthly pension.
“I have been watching you guys supplying food to my area for over 30 days now…so i just felt i should give you Rs 500/- from the Rs 600/- monthly pension i receive. It is a small amount but please accept” the woman said.
Kamalamma earned praise from the social media users for giving nearly all of her monthly pension. She decided to donate to help feed others.
