DOH Reports Over 900 New COVID-19 Cases As Of Today, June 29, 2020

The DOH reported over 900 new COVID-19 cases as of June 29, 2020.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday reported over 900 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in the Philippines as of today, June 29, 2020.

This, as the Department of Health reported 985 new COVID-19 cases wherein 643 were classified as “fresh” cases and the remaining 342 were classified as “late” cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 36,438 as of 4:00 p.m. of June 29, 2020.

Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health also reported 270 additional recoveries and 11 new fatalities due to COVID-19. This brought the total number of recoveries to 9,956 and total fatalities to 1,255.

For “fresh” cases, 223 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 106 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 314 came from different areas in the Philippines. On the other hand, for the “late” cases, 96 COVID-19 patients were from Metro Manila, 29 were from Central Visayas, and the remaining 217 were from different areas in the Philippines.

According to the Department of Health, the fresh cases recorded on Monday were based on its test results released to patients within the last three days, while the late cases recorded were based on the test results released to patients four days ago or more.
