COVID-19 cases in Brazil continues to surge
Brazil has recorded 11,598 new cases of coronavirus disease or COVID-19 with 623 deaths in just 1 day.
According to the Ministry of Health of Brazil, the country has already registered 526,447 confirmed cases and 29,937 deaths from COVID-19.

Meanwhile, in a tally courtesy of The Guardian based on its official sources, COVID-19 reaches 6,246,765 cases globally with 374,791 deaths and 1,900,629 recoveries.

In the Philippines, the Department of Health announced via its latest bulletin that the country has recorded 552 additional cases (119- fresh and 433- late cases), 70 new recoveries, and 3 new deaths as of Monday, June 1, 2020.
Based on the record of the country’s health department, the Philippines has now a total of 18,638 confirmed cases with 3,979 recoveries and 960 deaths.
