Do you still remember Agatha Tapan?
Agatha Tapan rose to fame with her portrayal as Denise in the iconic afternoon drama series Mara Clara, which premiered from 1992-1997.
She was also part of the 1996 remake of the movie Trudis Liit starring Vilma Santos wherein she portrayed the character of Goreng.
But after years apart from the limelight, what do you think happened to her when she left showbiz?
Agatha Tapan always wanted to become an artist ever since. Megastar Sharon Cuneta and actress Manilyn Reynes are among her acting inspiration.

She kick-starts her showbiz career after joining in SST: Salo-Salo Together of GMA-7, Smart Squad of ABC-5, Pen Pen De Sarapen of RPN-9, and to name a few.
In 1995, she auditioned a role in the film “Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa” but due to conflict in the taping schedule, she decided to turn down the project.
She was offered by Mara Clara director to join the top-rated series starring Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes which is running for 3 years at the time.
Then, she became part of the 1996 remake of “Trudis Liit” which paved her way to bag Best Child Actress awards from FAMAS, Metro Manila Film Festival, and Parangal ng Bayan.
She also became part of Bayani, Sineskwela, and Hiraya Manawari which were among the popular Educational TV (ETV) shows before.
But in 2001, she decided to leave showbiz.
According to PEP.ph, she focused on her studies and eventually finished as magna cum laude with a degree in Mass Communication at De La Salle University in Dasmarinas, Cavite.
In the year 2010, she worked as a business development specialist at ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) but she left her job anew.
Then, she returned to acting with her short exposure in the now-defunct series, “Be Careful With My Heart” starring Richard Yap and Jodi Sta. Maria.
After her short appearance in Be Careful With My Heart, she wasn’t seen on the screen anymore.
At present, she is married to Romel Galiza, a non-showbiz personality and she is now working as a Financial Planner at the same time a full-time mom to her daughter.
