Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, Instagram founders, officially launched their first project, the Rt COVID-19 spread tracking website.
The said website came after Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger left Facebook in order to work on something “new”. With Rt COVID-19 website, this was a “key measure” of how fast the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 was growing in every area.
As explained on the said website, the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 will quickly spread once the Rt value was above 1.0; on the other hand, the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 will stop spreading once the Rt value was below 1.0.
Also, the “Rt” had been commonly used metric throughout the pandemic as it measured the average number of people who became infected by a COVID-19 patient.
