Story of Filipino Doctor Recovering from COVID-19 Now

FILIPINO DOCTOR – A Pinoy doctor shared his journey to recovery after he contracted COVID-19 or coronavirus.

Sadly, in the plight of the Philippines to fight against the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus, many medical personnel died fighting against the disease. At least twelve (12) doctors passed away after contracting it.

In PH, over 2,300 cases of coronavirus were confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH). The health department recorded over 80 deaths.

With regards to the recoveries, fifty (50) people recovered from coronavirus. Amid the many doctors dying of COVID-19 in the country, a Filipino physician made it to recovery.
According to Dr. Jose Antonio “Bodjie” Bautista, he was unconsciously exposed to a patient under investigation (PUI) who, later on, tested positive for COVID-19. Two (2) days later, the Filipino doctor started experiencing the symptms.

He was tested for coronavirus and, at first, the result was negative. He isolated himself and lived in a condominium away from his family. He took care of himself alone.

Doc Bodjie’s condition worsened and he got admitted following an advice from a fellow medical personnel. He tested positive for coronavirus and dropped weight within the first week of admission.

According to the doctor, he experienced high-grade fever and chills, losing appetite, and worsening muscle aches. He was also coughing non-stop and losing oxygen that he thought he might be intubated soon.

The Filipino doctor stated that antibiotics were not doing wonders for him. He submitted to the possibility that he might not win the battle against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, a miracle came and he started feeling well. After experiencing all those, the doctor stressed that coronavirus spares no one. Here is the viral Facebook post:

So , could you please , include in your plans , on how the Public Transportations will be back on operations . We were caught in the announcement of Lockdown . Thank you !
