Filipino Nurse Passed Away Due to Coronavirus Amid Outbreak in PH

FILIPINO NURSE – A Pinoy nurse died of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19 which hit the Philippines.

PH is one of the countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus, officially called as COVID-19. This disease that was first recorded in China is now a pandemic and has reached several countries across the globe.

In the Philippines, the total confirmed cases now is over 2,000. The Department of Health (DOH) also recorded 88 deaths due to COVID-19.

Sadly, several medical personnel, the frontliners in the fight against the coronavirus, died of the disease. At least twelve (12) doctors passed away due to the pandemic.

Recently, a Filipino nurse became another frontliner to have fallen for COVID-19. The said medical personnel who died of coronavirus is Alvin Pascual.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News, Philippine Nurses Association president Erlinda Castro-Palaganas expressed that the 44-year-old nurse succumbed to death due to “severe bronchopneumonia”, a complication cause by COVID-19.

Based on the report, Alvin worked in Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center in Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija.

The Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) is mourning the death of Alvin Pascual. They gave their salute and respect to the real-life hero.
