DILG has this statement about the second distribution of SAP
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) stated that in the second distribution of the social amelioration program, all those who did not receive from the first distribution will be given cash assistance.
Through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the national government has provided cash aid to poor families around the country amid the enhanced community quarantine.
However, several Pinoy complained that they were not in the list of SAP beneficiaries even though they are qualified to receive. In a previous, report, several groups also recommended that senior citizens should be included in SAP even though they are already receiving pensions.
Some people also complained that the cash aid was given to undeserving recipients because they do not belong to the “poor” category.
In line with the issue on the second distribution of SAP, DILG Usec. Jonathan Malaya stated in a recent online interview on DZMM’s TeleRadyo that people can expect the payout in May even though the first SAP distribution is not yet finished.
He also said that there is already an order for local government units (LGUs) to finish distributing this by April 30. “Lahat ng hindi nabigyan sa unang SAP, isasama sa pagbibigay ng ikalawang buhos ng cash assistance,” Usec. Malaya added.
The appointed government official also said that the government has allocated a budget of P31.7 billion for those who did not receive cash assistance from the first distribution. “Hinahanapan na ng pondo,” Usec. Malaya said during the interview.
