WHO Team Left For China As 2019-nCoV Death Toll Hits 900

According to the authorities on Monday, a team of international experts led by the World Health Organization (WHO) left for China in order to help investigate the country’s coronavirus epidemic.

The 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak has caused huge disruptions in China as Communist Party rulers ordered virtual lockdowns, cancelled flights, closed factories, and shut schools in the country.

WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus returned to China with an agreement on sending an international mission. In a tweet, Tedros said that Dr Bruce Aylward, a veteran of past public health emergencies, was heading the team for the “@WHO-led #2019nCoV international expert mission to #China”.
