Brazilian Family From Wuhan Flew to Palawan Amid Coronavirus Issue
BRAZILIAN FAMILY FROM WUHAN – The test results of the parents amid the coronavirus issue were released while the child’s results are awaited.
Most countries are now implementing tight protocols and rules in the in-and-out of the tourists. It is because of the rampant disease in China – the 2019 novel coronavirus or nCoV.
The novel coronavirus got symptoms that are similar to flu – fever, shortness of breath, and cough. It was firs recorded in Wuhan City which is under a mandatory lock-down now to stop the spread of the disease.
In China, more than two (2) thousand people now are infected of the novel coronavirus. At least 100 died due to the outbreak of the said disease.
Previously, the Department of Health in the Philippines released a statement announcing that at least eleven (11) people are monitored for suspected coronavirus. The authorities are on a tight watch to prevent the entry of the disease.
Recently, the results of the test conducted on a Brazilian family in Palawan were released. The said family had a trip to Wuhan, China which is the center of the novel coronavirus now.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the family came for a check-up at the rural health unit of El Nido in Palawan. The child was having a fever while the father experiences sore throat.
The parents were already cleared by the hospital according to the report. They tested negative for the novel coronavirus while the results of the test on their 10-year-old daughter is still awaited.
According to Dr. Audie Cipriano, the parents ang “asymptomatic” and the 14-day quarantine can be done at home. With regards to the condition of the child now, she has cough and colds but the doctor assured that the kid is “active”.
As of this writing, the test results have yet to come. More updates may be posted soon.
