The Marcoses are among the most popular individuals in Philippine politics. The family’s patriarch, the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was the country’s Chief Executive for around two (2) decades.
Marcos Sr. was married to former First Lady Imelda Marcos. Their marriage is blessed with three (3) children – Senator Imee Marcos, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, and Irene Marcos. Many of their family members have positions in the government.
It was just less than five (5) days ago when Pres. Bongbong Marcos took his oath as the 17th president of the Republic of the Philippines. He won the Elections 2022 with a landslide victory after getting more than 31 milliom votes.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos is one of those who did not miss the 93rd birthday celebration of his mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos. Based on a report of Inquirer, it was held at Malacañang.
Not much details were released to the press regarding the 93rd birthday of the former First Lady and as well as photos of Imelda Marcos’ party.
Meanwhile, based on the post on social media, Ilocos Norte Rep. Angelo Marcos Barba shared some photos of Imelda Marcos’ 93rd birthday celebration in Malacañang. He is the nephew of the former First Lady. Pres. Bongbong Marcos was also present at the celebration.
Seemingly, the celebration took place at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall of the presidential palace. Pres. Marcos Jr. and his family chose to stay at Bahay Pangarap during his term as the country’s chief executive.
The former First Lady is one of those who are very happy over the presidential win of her son. She even stressed during the proclamation that she has two (2) presidents now referring to her late husband and her son – to which Marcos Jr. gave back the credits saying that “all of it” is for her and his late dad.
