Here’s the reaction of Angelika dela Cruz’s mother to their death threat
ANGELIKA EGGER – The mother of Angelika dela Cruz reacted to the death threat received by their family.
Angelika whose real name is Maria Lourdes Egger dela Cruz-Casareo is an actress-singer, who’s now a politician.
She started acting at the age of seven when she appeared in the 1988 film Nagbabagang Luha.
Since then, she has appeared in television shows and movies such as the primetime drama Mara Clara and Esperanza. She later left the ABS-CBN Network and transferred to GMA Network to do other primetime dramas.
She gained attention when she won the Best New Actress of the year award at the PMPC Star Awards for Movies for her very first movie Nights of Serafina.
When her father passed away, she decided to venture into politics.
It was on Tuesday when the actress-turned-politician went to the social networking site, Facebook wherein she shared that her family received a death threat and four bullets.
Angelika, the incumbent chairwoman of Barangay Longos, Malabon City is in Thailand that’s why she’s worried sick about the death threat that her family received.
In an interview, her mother Angelika Egger said that she’s also worried for the safety of her children.
“Sunny and my son Erick got death threats,” she told Bandera.
“So scary! We are not safe anymore in Malabon. Just a week ago, Sunny’s friend Kap Pilo (Felimon Villanueva) from Tonsuya got killed in front of his house,” she added.
According to her, the same people are after her children. Although they have 24 hours security, it wasn’t enough to fully secure them.
Angelika dela Cruz is currently in Bangkok, Thailand. She was invited there by Congresswoman Jay Lacson and will be back in two days. In fact, she has been posting photos of them while having a vacation.
They have already reported to the authorities the threat to their lives.
Angelika’s mother also said that they have a suspicion about who might be behind the death threat.
