VP-Elect Sara Duterte Stands in Behalf of OFW Mom of Young Supporter in Pangasinan

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President-elect attended the moving-up ceremony of her young supporter whose mother is an overseas Filipino worker (OFW).

The Elections 2022 is over and the joint session of the Senate and the House of Representatives has proclaimed the winners. Presidential daughter and outgoing Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio was proclaimed as the next vice president of the Republic of the Philippines.

Duterte-Carpio ran under Lakas-CMD. She initially filed for re-election as Davao City Mayor but withdrew her bid, joined the national party Lakas-CMD, and ran for vice president.

The Presidential Daughter visited several areas during the campaign period for the Elections 2022. One of those that she and the UniTeam have been to is Pangasinan.

Based on a recent post of Vice President-elect Sara Duterte, during their campaign in San Carlos, Pangasinan, a young supporter of her gave her a letter wherein she asked her if she can accompany her on stage on their moving-up ceremony.

According to Duterte, the child identified as “Angel Mae” is a daughter of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) and her mother still cannot go home to attend her moving-up ceremony.

Vice President-elect Sara Duterte generously gave her time to be with Angel Mae on stage during their moving-up ceremony. On her Facebook account, the presidential daughter shared some photos of them during the event along with a caption congratulating the graduates.

VP-Elect Duterte will take over the Office of the Vice President on the noontime of June 30. She will succeed Vice Pres. Leni Robredo who has undeniably did a lot during her term as the country’s vice president.

There are still no details as to when Duterte-Carpio and Robredo will meet but the latter assured that the whole OVP is preparing for the turning over as her term is about to end. VP Leni is currently in New York for the graduation of her youngest daughter, Jillian, who was a scholar at New York University.
