The presidential daughter is still leading the vice presidential race with over 31 million votes. Her inauguration will take place in Davao City on June 19.

Previously, the camp of presumptive President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said that they are appointing the younger Duterte as secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).

But for Salceda, the daughter of outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte is more suitable to become DSWD secretary.

In an interview during the luncheon meeting of PDP-Laban held in EDSA Shangri-La, Salceda said that he wanted to see the social development programs of the young Duterte in Davao City.

“Ang dami niyang innovation sa social development. Ang dami-dami if you go to Davao pagdating sa early child care development, pagdating po sa mga special sectors, andami niya, gusto ko yun ma-replicate nationally, ma-upscale so nanghihinayang ako,” he said.

According to him, the said city is number one when it comes to palliative care.

“We can benefit more if she is in DSWD,” he stressed.

In the said meeting, the members of PDP-Laban expressed their support to reelected Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez to take over the speakership of the House of Representatives.

Prior to this, the camp of BBM appointed former MMDA chairman Benhur Abalos to become the next chief of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

While BBM’s camp has yet to release an official list of its appointees in the Cabinet, a list of possible BBM administration Cabinet members earlier surfaced.
