Here’s the story behind the dining photo of Isko Moreno and Bongbong Marcos
ISKO MORENO – The Manila City mayor and presidential candidate explained the photo of him resurfacing on social media wherein he can be seen dining with former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Moreno will run for president alongside his running mate, Doc Willie Ong.
They will go against the tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and Sara Duterte, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Buhay partylist representative Lito Atienza, Senator Ping Lacson and Tito Sotto and to name a few.
Recently, Moreno with Ong, Lacson, Sotto, and former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales held a press conference at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.
At one point, Moreno declared that Robredo should back out from the presidential race.
Hours later, a photo wherein Moreno and Marcos Jr. can be seen dining went viral on social media.
The photo resurfaced following Moreno’s call for Robredo to back out of the presidential race.
It was taken last February 2021 at the reopening of the Emerald Restaurant in Manila.
According to Moreno, the business owner invited him and Marcos Jr. to the “surprise” event.
“Ang nangyari doon, nag-cut ako ng ribbon. Ako mayor, salamat may negosyo, may trabaho tapos nagkasal ako,” he said.
“Kinasal ko yung may-ari. It was supposed to be a surprise sa kaniyang long-term partner,” he added.
Meanwhile, Isko Moreno accused the camp of VP Robredo for the photo of him dining with Marcos Jr.
