It was on Wednesday when his wife Kelsey took to social media to share the sad news of his passing.

According to her, the singer died “peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.”

Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes, and Jay McGuiness, the members of the boy band, The Wanted, also mourned Tom’s death.

To recall, it was in October 2020 when Tom took to the image-sharing site, Instagram wherein he shared that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At the time, he said that he was in the process of undergoing treatment.

Brain cancers include primary brain tumors, which start in the brain and almost never spread to other parts of the body, and secondary tumors (or metastases), which are caused by cancers that began in another part of the body.

The Wanted was formed in 2009. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), the band has been certified for 600,000 albums and 2 million singles in the UK.

Among the nominations that the band received include 14 World Music Awards, two Brit Awards, an American Music Award, and an MTV Video Music Award.

The boy band is behind the hit songs; “All Time Low”, “Chasing the Sun”, “Glad You Came”, “Glow in the Dark”, “Gold Forever”, “Heart Vacancy”, “I Found You”, “Lightning”, “Lose My Mind” and to name a few.

The band announced in January 2014 that they would be taking a hiatus in order to pursue individual solo projects.
