Glaiza De Castro and David Rainey were preparing for their church wedding in the Philippines.
Following their traditional wedding in Ireland last October 2021, actress Glaiza De Castro and her husband David Rainey were preparing for their church wedding in the Philippines.
In an interview on “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho”, Glaiza said that she and her husband will tie the knot in the Philippines, something they didn’t do at their private Irish wedding.
Glaiza and David performed the traditional Celtic ritual of handfasting for their marriage vows instead of exchanging wedding bands.
“We didn’t do the exchange of rings kasi we wanted to save that here,” Glaiza said.
According to her, she and her husband planned to have a church wedding in the Philippines.

To recall, Glaiza said in an interview with GMANetwork last June 2021 that David didn’t know the concept of “ninong” and “ninang”.
“Si David, ‘di n’ya alam ‘yung konsepto ng ninong at ninang kasi ‘yung ninong at ninang sa atin sampu-sampu gano’n, bente-bente. Sa kanila, isa lang. Isa lang ang kailangan mong ninong, isa lang ang kailangan mong ninang,” Glaiza said at that time.
Although her family, friends, and colleagues in showbiz were expected to attend the wedding, she and David said that they still wanted it to be simple and intimate as a precaution against the threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The couple tied the knot in Northern Ireland last October 2021. According to her, it was a chance encounter with David in Siargao that sparked their forever romance.
