Here’s the Squid Game inspired performance of Vhong and Ogie in Magpasikat 2021 of It’s Showtime
SQUID GAME – The team of Vhong Navarro and Ogie Alcasid wowed the judges with their performance in Magpasikat 2021 inspired by the Korean drama.
Squid Game is a survival drama that tells the story of a group of people who risk their lives in a mysterious survival game with 45.6 billion Korean won as prizes.
Four hundred and fifty-six people, who have all struggled financially in life, are invited to play a mysterious survival competition.
Competing in a series of traditional children’s games but with deadly twists, they put their lives at risk to compete for a 45.6 billion Korean won or 38.5 million US dollars prize.
It stars Korean actors; Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo and Wi Ha-joon and is directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
In the series, Lee Jung-jae portrays the role of Seong Gi-hun (No. 456), a chauffeur and a gambling addict. He lives with his mother and struggles to financially support his daughter. He participates in the Game to settle his many debts.
Meanwhile, Team Vhong and Ogie collaborated with other artists to come up with an epic performance inspired by the hit Korean series.

The two opened their performance with a funny skit.
Then, they showcase their skills in singing and dancing via “S-Kid Games” featuring traditional Filipino street games such as piko, tagu-taguan, and patintero.
Joining Team Vhong and Ogie in their performance are dance group Streetboys, Jeremy Glinoga and Reiven Umali as well as OPM icon Ebe Dancel and award-winning shadow group El Gamma Penumbra.
