44 mayors from Cebu province have endorsed the BBM-Sara Uniteam as their official bet in the 2022 elections.
Forty-four (44) mayors from Cebu province have recently endorsed the BBM-Sara Uniteam as their official bet in the upcoming 2022 elections.
Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr and vice-presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte were in Cebu last Friday as guests of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) during its regional planning conference.
LMP-Cebu Chapter President Mayor Christina Frasco said that on behalf of all 44 mayors of Cebu province, they hereby expressed their unequivocal support to the tandem for their candidacy, adding that they will do everything in their power in order to ensure an unequivocal victory in the 2022 elections.
The endorsement came a day after Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), and Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) forged an alliance to support the BBM-Sara Uniteam.
The former senator thanked the Cebu mayors for supporting him and Mayor Sara.
“I welcome it very much, and I thank all of those mayors in region seven who gave me and Inday Sara their support,” Bongbong said.

Frasco noted that no other presidential aspirant has Bongbong’s experience and competence.
She also said that Bongbong’s proven track record in the executive, legislative, and administrative had prepared him for the “most difficult job” in the Philippines.
“We all have common hopes, the hopes that we can provide a better life for fellow Filipinos and our families and pin our hopes on our next president, firm in the belief that he can deliver a bright and progressive future, not only for Cebuanos but to all our fellow Filipinos,” Frasco said.
Meanwhile, Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia said that her family and her party, One Cebu, haven’t yet endorsed Bongbong Marcos or any presidential bet. According to her, it’s “too early” to make such commitment.
One Cebu was the biggest local political party in the province of Cebu as its members include majority of incumbent officials.
“As you can see in the national scene, things are still so fluid,” Garcia said in an interview with reporters. “That is why One Cebu never jumped into the fray while others did, declaring too early their allegiances only to find out that such allegiances became irrelevant. Let us respect the party, and let us respect my family.”
