Stage design of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 earns mixed reactions from netizens
MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2021 – The stage where the star-studded pageant took place earned backlash from netizens.
It was just recently when Beatrice Luigi Gomez from Cebu City was crowned as MUP 2021.
On the other hand, Katrina Dimaranan from Taguig was named Miss Universe Tourism while Victoria Vincent Velasquez from Cavite was hailed, Miss Universe Charity.
Model Maureen Wroblewitz from Pangasinan won the 1st runner-up spot followed by Steffi Rose Aberasturi from Cebu Province as the 2nd runner-up.
The coronation night of the much-awaited pageant was held on September 30 at Henann Resort Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol.
Apparently, the stage design earned backlash from eagle-eyed netizens.
Earlier, a Twitter user with the handle name @TheSizzumsPH took to the micro-blogging site, wherein it shared a sneak peek of the MUP 2021 stage.

But based on the photo shared by @TheSizzumsPH it must have been taken before the coronation night. It later posted some glimpse that highlights the simple yet elegant design of the stage.
Meanwhile, this year’s winner will replace the outgoing titleholder, Rabiya Mateo- who competed in the Miss Universe 2020 but only clinched the Top 21.
The reigning Miss Universe Philippines will compete in the 70th edition of Miss Universe pageant to be held on December 2021 in Eilat, Israel. Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
