Ogie Diaz and Mama Loi talk about political plan of Claudine Barretto
CLAUDINE BARRETTO – The actress who’s rooting for a political seat in the 2022 elections was challenged to show proof that she’s from Olongapo.
It was just recently when the actress announced her plan to run for councilor in Olongapo.
Apparently, her interest to run in Olongapo was questioned by netizens claiming she’s from Quezon City.
But according to Claudine, she has been in Gapo for the last 16 years and the city is not new to her since her father Miguel Alvir Barretto, who passed away in 2019, served as the administrator of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SMBA).
In the latest vlog of Ogie Diaz alongside Mama Loi and Tita Jegs, they discussed the political plan of the award-winning actress.
In the said vlog, they raised the query of whether the actress has really lived in Gapo for a long time.
Then, Ogie Diaz cited comments from netizens asking her to show proof she’s from Olongapo.
Ogie shared that he read an article noting that it was only on Friday, September 24 when Claudine filed for voter’s registration in Comelec, Olongapo which is said to be a “change of address.”
He then cited the one-year residency policy before running for a local position.
Claudine possessed a TIN (taxpayer identification number) ID, proof that she’s from QC.
The said TIN ID was issued on November 24, 2009, and the address was Loyola Grand Villas, Quezon City which means that the identification card was 12 years ago and it did not match her earlier statement that she has been living in Olongapo City for 16 years already.
Aside from that, Ogie and Mama Loi also discussed the Instagram posts of the actress, usually taken in her house in QC.
Claudine Barretto has yet to issue any statement regarding the claims against her.
