Vilma Santos: “pasaway ako noon”
Actress-turned-politician Vilma Santos shared that she used to be unprofessional and “pasaway.”
The 67-year-old icon is regarded as one of the brightest stars in showbiz and respected as a public servant.
Also known as Star for All Seasons, she is currently the representative of the sixth district of Batangas.
Vilma Santos has been in showbiz for almost six decades as she started acting at the age of nine.
In an interview with celebrity photographer Raymund Isaac on December 5, 2020, the actress-politician shared about her being “pasaway” and “unprofessional” during younger years.
But how pasaway she was then?
“O, grabe! Yung mga edad ko na mga 20 hanggang 27, or 26, pasaway ako noon,” she said.
Aside from being pasaway, she also seemed to be unprofessional then.
Vilma Santos cited that at one point, she did not show up for the TV special even though everyone was already there waiting for her.
“I was so unprofessional. Those were the days na talagang magulo ang utak ko,” she said.
According to Vilma Santos, those were the times she went through a lot in life.
It as in 1998 when she was elected mayor of Lipa City, Batangas which marked as the beginning of her political career.
But despite this, she did not abandon showbiz. She was last seen in the movie Everything About Her by Star Cinema in 2016.
Vilma Santos has been married to Senator Ralph Recto for almost three decades. They have one child, Ryan Christian.
