BSP revealed its new logo and will reveal the details on January 2021.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) had recently introduced its new logo which would replace the current logo starting January 2021.
This, as BSP said that the implementation of the said logo will be done in phases, adding that details of which will be further announced on January 2021.
The said logo was endorsed by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines prior to the Malacañang approval last November 2020.
In a report on CNN Philippines, BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno said that the said logo was just a “brand refresh” which still featured current emblem’s elements.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas said in a statement obtained by CNN Philippines that it was introduced a new logo in “keeping with the changing times”.

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas described the new logo as having a full-bodied gold-rendered Philippine eagle in contrast to the current logo’s stylized eagle profile design, adding that the Philippine eagle in the logo was inspired from different wildlife photographs of actual Philippine eagle.
The use of the Philippine eagle in the said logo, according to BSP, was intended to represent the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Filipino people as well.

Prior to this, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas launched its “Enhanced” New Generation Currency (NGC) banknotes and explained why a 20-Peso bill wasn’t included.
