The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 11,430 newly-reported coronavirus recoveries in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. today, November 8, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #239 dated November 8, 2020, the Department of Health recorded 2,442 newly-reported COVID-19 cases. This brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 396,395.
Also, the Department of Health reported 27,218 total active cases wherein 82.0% were mild cases, 9.6% were asymptomatic cases, 5.4% were critical cases, and 3.1% were severe cases.

Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of November 8 only: Rizal with 138 new cases, City of Manila with 131 new cases, Benguet with 130 new cases, Batangas with 113 new cases, and Bulacan with 112 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 11,430 newly-reported recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 361,638. Also, the Department of Health recorded 54 newly-reported fatalities, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 7,539.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health had issued the health guidelines on holiday celebrations.
As stated in DOH Circular No. 2020-0355, the Department of Health urged the public to observe limited time of face-to-face activities on holiday celebrations.
