Sarah Lahbati Talks About Struggles as a Single Mom; Raymond Gutierrez Responds
RAYMOND GUTIERREZ – The model spoke out after his estranged sister-in-law, Sarah Lahbati, gave an interview about the expenses for her children with his twin brother, Richard Gutierrez.
Sarah appeared on Kylie Verzosa’s YouTube channel, where she opened up about her life as a single mother raising their two kids, Zion and Kai. She explained that life isn’t the perfect fairy tale many might imagine—it’s a daily balancing act. She works hard, pays her own bills, and faces challenges on her own.
When asked if she ever asked Richard for help, she said no, stressing that she prefers to handle things herself and doesn’t feel the need to ask. She believes that support should be automatic if it’s expected, and if it’s not, she can manage without having to beg.
Raymond, however, disagreed with how Sarah’s statements came across. He posted on social media that Richard fully provides for their children, covering school, hobbies, travel, clothing, staff, and everything else they need. He also emphasized that the kids split their time equally between both parents and wished that these facts had been clarified during the interview.
The interview, which lasted over an hour, didn’t include Richard’s perspective or how he and Sarah handle co-parenting. On a recent “Showbiz Update” vlog hosted by Ogie Diaz, Mama Loi, and Ate Mrena, Raymond’s post was discussed and supported. The vlog also showed happy moments of Sarah and the kids during trips, as well as Richard spending quality time with Zion and Kai, highlighting that both parents are actively involved in their children’s lives. Ogie Diaz noted that the public doesn’t know the details of how they share parenting responsibilities. Mama Loi added that children benefit from strong relationships with both parents, growing up feeling loved and secure even if their parents are separated.
