Duterte’s Former Spox Harry Roque Speaks on VP Sara, Cong. Kiko Barzaga
HARRY ROQUE – Ex-President Rodrigo Duterte’s former Spokesman spoke about Vice Pres. Sara Duterte not calling for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Amid the flood control issue in the Philippines, there are calls for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to resign. Undeniably, aside from calling for an end to corruption during the “Trillion Peso March” that was held last September 21, there were Filipinos who called for the Chief Executive to resign.
Malacañang previously claimed that the President is not worried over the protests as they are against corruption. However, according to the Palace, Marcos Jr. requests the protesters against corruption to keep their actions lawful. A few weeks after the “Trillion Peso March” last September 21, Cavite Congressman Kiko Barzaga led an anti-Marcos protest that called for the resignation of the President.
The anti-Marcos protest was held outside the Forbes Park Village in Taguig. Undeniably, Barzaga became more prominent for being vocal against the President and the current administration. He also recently gained positive remarks from Harry Roque, a former spokesman of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
Harry Roque is currently in The Hague, Netherlands. He is an asylum seeker abroad amid a pending arrest warrant issued against him by a Philippine court. Roque previously lauded Barzaga for standing against the Marcos Jr. administration claiming that he is a proof that the Filipino people do not lose hope in the role of the youth in shaping the future.
Recently, Harry Roque also mentioned Cavite Cong. Kiko Barzaga as well as Vice Pres. Sara Duterte in his remarks. According to Duterte’s former Spokesman, Vice Pres. Duterte allegedly does not want to be called “power hungry” that is why she is not calling for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
Based on the post, Roque also said to just let Cong. Kiko Barzaga be the one to call for the resignation of Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to him, the Vice President refuses to make such call out of “delicadeza”.
“Ayaw ni VP Sara na lumabas na siya ay power hungry kaya hayaan natin na si Kiko Barzaga na magsabing Marcos Resign na ayaw sabihin ni Inday Sara Duterte dahil as delicadeza,” he said.
Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos will allegedly not resign, thus, she is not calling for it. The Vice President claimed that she has a different call for the President.
