Lie Reposposa Calls for Respect Between Tagalogs and Bisayas
LIE REPOSPOSA — The former Pinoy Big Brother 8 housemate spoke up after seeing a Facebook post comparing Bisaya and Tagalog people. The post claimed that Tagalogs work hard for a living, while Bisayas supposedly look for foreigners to marry to have a better life. The image even included Lie and her British fiancé, Paul Joshua Marsden.
Lie said she normally would not respond to such posts, but since she was bored, she decided to address it. She explained that having a foreign partner is not the key to escaping poverty, but rather having determination and resourcefulness in life. She added that even if someone ends up with a foreigner or anyone else, life will not improve without effort and hard work. According to her, both Bisaya and Tagalog people are Filipinos, and their worth should not be judged based on their region or relationships. She emphasized that the real difference among people lies not in language or background, but in attitude and respect.

She said she initially did not want to respond but decided to speak up, saying that a foreigner is not the answer to poverty. She added that even if someone dates an alien, without effort and initiative, they would still be broke. She stated that whether Bisaya or Tagalog, Filipinos are the same — only differing in manners and respect, noting that some people may have Wi-Fi but lack proper values.

In the comments section, Lie asked the public to stop dragging her and her fiancé into unnecessary issues. She said she was surprised that their faces were trending again and pleaded with people to mind their own business.
Lie and her fiancé, Paul, got engaged in February 2023 when they were both 19 years old. She proudly shared a photo of her engagement ring on Instagram with the caption, “It’s a YES. Parents approved.” Despite facing cheating rumors in the past, the couple managed to overcome those challenges together.
