Lani Misalucha Reveals She Auditioned for America’s Got Talent in the Past

Lani Misalucha Opens Up About Her America’s Got Talent Audition

LANI MISALUCHA – The award-winning singer shared a fun and unexpected story about her past audition for America’s Got Talent. During the media conference for The Clash 2025 held on June 11 at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City, Lani looked back on the time she auditioned for the hit U.S. talent show while she was still based in Las Vegas.

According to Lani, this happened sometime in 2005 or 2006, when she had regular shows in Vegas. Her agent encouraged her to audition, just for the experience. She performed Con Te Partirò, the popular operatic pop song by Andrea Bocelli. Thanks to her powerful vocals, she received a callback for the second round. However, Lani didn’t continue with the process due to her busy schedule. At the time, she was performing daily and felt she wouldn’t be able to commit. So, she asked her agent to let the show know she was backing out.

Looking back, Lani admitted that she sometimes wonders what might have happened if she had continued. Still, she said she has no regrets.

Now serving as a judge on The Clash 2025 alongside Christian Bautista and Ai-Ai delas Alas, Lani shared how impressed she is with this year’s contestants. She praised their focus, passion, and talent—saying they seem more prepared than she was when she was just starting out. Lani explained that back then, she had to balance her music career with being a full-time mom of two, which made it harder to fully focus.

She added that she sees great potential in the young singers and believes many of them will go far in their careers. The Clash 2025 features both fresh contestants and returning contenders known as “Clashbackers,” and is hosted by Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz. It airs every Sunday at 7:15 P.M. on GMA-7.
