Duterte House in Davao Now for Sale, Says Digong’s Partner

Honeylet Avanceña Reveals Duterte Home in Davao is Now for Sale

HONEYLET AVANCEÑA – The long-time partner of former President Rodrigo Duterte has revealed that their family home in Davao City is now up for sale. The announcement has sparked mixed reactions from the public, especially given the emotional and political significance attached to the property.

According to Honeylet, they decided to sell the house because no one lives there anymore. In a message sent to DZRH, she shared that she is the only one who occasionally visits the house, and even she no longer stays there regularly. She admitted that it has become emotionally difficult to be inside the house alone, saying it hurts her every time she steps inside. Although there are still four house helpers assigned to the property, no one from the family occupies it anymore. She added that the home was abandoned following recent events in their lives.

Honeylet also disclosed that she can no longer sleep comfortably in the house due to surveillance cameras that were installed throughout the property — including the bedrooms — on the advice of their lawyers. This level of monitoring has made it hard for her to feel at ease, prompting her to distance herself from the residence even further.

Former President Duterte is currently in the custody of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands. He was arrested last March in connection with alleged crimes against humanity, linked to the controversial and bloody war on drugs carried out during his administration under the campaign known as “Oplan Tokhang.”

As of this writing, Duterte’s children — Vice President Sara Duterte, Davao 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte, and Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte — have not yet released any statements regarding the sale of their family home.
