Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Vows to Fix the Philippines

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy Urges Voters: “Ako po ay narito para ayusin natin ang Pilipinas!”

PASTOR APOLLO QUIBOLOY – The founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) and a senatorial candidate under the “DuterTEN” slate of PDP-Laban, addressed the public through a video message during the party’s miting de avance held at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila on Thursday, May 8. Although he was not physically present at the event, he made sure to speak directly to his supporters and Filipino voters.

In his message, Pastor Quiboloy greeted everyone warmly, especially the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) watching from abroad. He encouraged voters to support his candidacy in the upcoming May 12 elections, emphasizing his vision for a country free from corruption and abuse of power.

“Iboto po ninyo sapagkat gusto ko pong kayo ay makaranas ng isang bansa na malaya sa korapsyon at malaya sa mga opisyal na nang-aabuso ng kanilang kapangyarihan at awtoridad na ipinagkaloob sa kanila,” he said. Quiboloy firmly promised that he would not be influenced or corrupted by the existing political system. “Ako po ay narito para ayusin natin ang Pilipinas at ito’y ipalakad sa tamang daan ng pamamahala,” he added.

He also emphasized that his decision to run for public office was not driven by money, ambition, or political favors. Rather, he described it as a calling from God, stating that he believes this opportunity was given to him to fulfill a greater purpose—to help bring change to the country out of love for the Filipino people.

Representing him at the event was his legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, who brought a standee of Quiboloy as his symbolic presence.

Meanwhile, Apollo Quiboloy was arrested in September 2024 after a standoff in Davao City. He faces charges of child sexual abuse and human trafficking in the Philippines, as well as sex trafficking, labor trafficking, and visa fraud in the U.S. He is currently in detention and has been denied house arrest.
