Gene Padilla Questions How Claudia Treated Dennis at Her Wedding
GENE PADILLA – The brother of actor Dennis Padilla expressed deep disappointment over how Dennis was treated during the wedding of his daughter, Claudia Barretto, on April 8, 2025. In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Gene said it was the first time he had ever witnessed a wedding where the father of the bride was not included in the program.
According to Gene, he and their mother arrived early at the church, traveling all the way from Bulacan to Alabang. Their mother even woke up at 5 a.m., filled with excitement—just like Dennis, who had hoped to play a meaningful role in his daughter’s special day.
However, they were surprised to find out that Dennis was not part of the entourage and was not even told where to sit. When they asked about their mother’s seat, they were told she could sit anywhere, and Dennis was casually told to sit beside the sponsors. Due to the awkwardness and hurt, Gene and Dennis decided to stay at the back of the church instead.
Dennis became emotional and broke down in tears. Seeing his brother’s heartbreak, Gene suggested they leave after the ceremony and just take a photo with the newlyweds. He also shared that their mother was moved to tears by the situation.
Gene emphasized that Dennis had been trying for a long time to reconnect with his children and regain their affection. He questioned whether people around them had influenced the children’s decisions. Gene ended by saying that while their family may not live in luxury or fame, what sets them apart is their heart and dignity—values that, he believes, cannot be matched by status or wealth.
