Man Jumps Into Tiger Enclosure to Impress Date, Gets Arrested and Punched

Man Arrested After Entering Tiger’s Cage to Show Off for Date

INDIA – A man’s attempt to impress his date at a zoo backfired when he was arrested—and even punched—by authorities. The 26-year-old man climbed over a fence and attempted to enter a white tiger’s enclosure at Kamla Nehru Zoo in Gujarat, India.

A video from GMA Integrated Newsfeed captured the shocking moment when visitors screamed in alarm as the man crossed into the tiger’s enclosure by walking on a tree branch. The white tiger inside immediately became alert upon seeing the stranger invade its space.

Before the man could climb down, zoo staff intervened and warned him of the danger. Realizing the risk, he climbed back up the tree and exited the enclosure. However, as soon as he stepped outside, waiting authorities, angry at his reckless actions, immediately confronted him. Some even punched him out of frustration over the unnecessary risk he caused.

According to zoo officials, they immediately turned the man over to the police and filed appropriate charges against him. Reports revealed that the man was at the zoo with his girlfriend and wanted to impress her with his daring stunt. “This kind of behavior not only puts the individual at risk but also disturbs the animals and other visitors,” the zoo management stated.

This is not the first incident of its kind. In 2014, a man tragically died after falling into a white tiger enclosure at a zoo in Delhi. Witnesses said the victim lost his balance and fell, and the tiger attacked him instantly. Unfortunately, zoo staff could not save him in time due to the lack of a tranquilizer gun.

This recent incident serves as a reminder that reckless stunts in wildlife enclosures can have serious consequences—not just for the person involved, but also for the animals and the public.
