Angel Locsin: “Nanghihinayang ako”
Angel Locsin has finally reacted to the indefinite postponement of Darna after it was postponed by ABS-CBN due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the 35-year-old actress who also portrayed the character of the Pinay superheroine, she was saddened about the indefinite postponement of the said Darna movie.
“Nanghihinayang ako. Sayang kasi ‘yung panahon ngayon, panahon na kailangan natin ng hero. Maganda sana especially sa mga kabataan na meron tayong someone na tinitingala natin, na merong makakapagligtas sa atin sa lahat ng mga pinagdadaanan natin. Sayang ‘yung pagkakataon,” Angel Locsin said based on the article published by ABS-CBN News.
But Angel Locsin agreed with the decision of the production team considering the threats of the ongoing pandemic.

Meanwhile, the rights of Darna remains under ABS-CBN.
It was only canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the network refused to give details when are they going to resume the filming of the upcoming movie.
The role Darna was initially offered to Liza Soberano but she withdrew the role.
It was on July 17, 2019, when Jane de Leon was announced to portray the role of the Pinay superheroine, Darna.
