In the post, shared on the “TCU Secret Files” Facebook page on October 31, she explained that her suitor invited her to dinner and assured her it would be free of charge since he was courting her. However, during the meal, she ordered more than expected, including a medium-rare steak, and the bill ended up at ₱7,000.
After receiving the hefty bill, the netizen questioned whether she should split the cost or “ghost” her suitor. She included a screenshot of their conversation where her suitor demanded that she pay, claiming she was responsible for the expensive bill. In a follow-up update on November 3, the netizen defended herself against harsh criticism, as some commenters labeled her “PG” (patay-gutom, meaning greedy) and “exploitative.” She expressed that she did not expect such reactions and had only sought advice. She explained that both she and her suitor were at fault—he invited her to dinner and insisted on treating her, but she ended up ordering a more expensive meal than anticipated. She also mentioned that if she had known this would cause problems, she would have chosen a different restaurant.
Some netizens criticized her for lacking basic manners, suggesting that she should have been more considerate when ordering within reason while someone else was paying.
