Pokwang Condemns Racism on Chinese Citizens Amid nCoV Spread

Pokwang slammed the anti-Chinese sentiments on social media following the confirmation on the first case of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines.

This, as Pokwang (real name: Marietta Subong) reposted on Friday an open letter on her Instagram account, apologizing to Chinese tourists and citizens in China for the discrimination that they are experiencing.

To all Chinese Tourists or Citizens 🇨🇳 We apologize for the harsh words and the rejection we have made you feel. The Philippines and it’s people are scared not because of you, but because we are a poor country that will suffer if ever it occurs in our land.
