Sara Duterte Reveals She and PBBM No Longer Communicate or See Each Other

Sara Duterte and PBBM Are Not on Speaking Terms

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President revealed that she and President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. no longer communicate or see each other.

In an August 8 interview with Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), Duterte stated, “Wala akong description sa relationship namin ngayon ni President Marcos. Hindi na kami nagkakausap, hindi na rin kami nagkikita.”

Speculation about a strained relationship between Duterte and the administration intensified after her critical remarks on August 7, where she accused the government of being led by individuals lacking integrity and commitment. The following day, Duterte clarified that her actions are driven by a sense of duty to the country, not by political allegiance. She explained that her frustration as Vice President and as a Filipino concerning the current state of the government was reflected in her earlier statement. Despite the political dynamics, she emphasized that her focus remains on serving the country.

Duterte and Marcos were running mates in the 2022 national elections under the UniTeam ticket. However, tensions between them have resurfaced following Duterte’s departure from her cabinet position and her absence from Marcos’s recent State of the Nation Address (SONA). This situation has fueled discussions about potential rifts in their political relationship.

Meanwhile, Sara Duterte is the current Vice President of the Philippines. She was born on May 31, 1978, in Davao City, Philippines. Sara is the daughter of former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who served from 2016 to 2022, and Elizabeth Zimmerman.

Before becoming Vice President in 2022, Sara Duterte served as the Mayor of Davao City, a position she held for multiple terms. She is known for her strong-willed and assertive leadership style, often compared to her father’s. During her tenure as mayor, she focused on local governance, law and order, and public service initiatives.
