Tina Marie Yan: “Good Friday will always be a scar that I can never erase.”
TINA MARIE YAN – The sister of late actor Rico Yan remembered him on the 22nd anniversary of his death.
PEP.ph obtained a screenshot of Tina’s Instagram post where she shared a photo of herself near her late brother’s picture frame. In the caption of her social media post, Tina said that Good Friday will always be a scar that she can never erase.
She also said that she really missed her late brother and their memories together. Tina then shared a message to him towards the end of her post, saying, “Keep on watching over us here!”
It can be recalled that the actor passed away last March 29, 2002, Good Friday, due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis. He was 27 at that time.
Meanwhile, Optimum Star Claudine Barretto took to social media to pay tribute to her ex-boyfriend 22 years after his death.

On Instagram, the actress shared a reel from Instagram account @rycb.memories that had the caption: “Claudine’s one and only forever.” She then said in the caption of her post, “March 29 My heart stopped” along with three broken red hearts emojis and a hashtag #alwaysandforever.
In the fan-made video, Claudine said in an interview with Karen Davila that Rico Yan had a significant impact on her life. The fan-made video also featured videos and photos of Claudine and Rico from their youth.
“He is a big part of my life,” Claudine told Davila in a previous interview. “In your life sabi nila you just have one great love, right? So parang ako ‘yung wansapanataym, wansapanataym.”
The pair was one of the most popular love teams in the late ’90s and 2000s.
To recall, Claudine Barretto and Rico Yan starred in the hit series “Saan Ka Man Naroroon” and “Mula Sa Puso” and also top-billed blockbuster movies like “Got 2 Believe”.
